According to market sources, domestic producers’ prices in the local Turkish structural steel market have increased by TRY 60-130/mt during the past week, due to the strengthening of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. Meanwhile, producers’ prices in the Karabuk region have decreased by €35/m in the same period. Currently, demand in the Turkish structural steel market is very weak and transaction activity has slowed down.
