Prices fall in Turkish rebar market due to slack demand

According to market sources, demand in the local Turkish rebar market has weakened during the past week following the loss of strength of the US dollar against the Turkish lira, while prices have decreased by $10-40/mt in the same period. Meanwhile, sales in the housing sector in Turkey have slowed down ahead of the general election on June 7, negatively impacting rebar demand.
