In the local Turkish rebar market, trading activity, which was expected to improve after the Feast of Sacrifice holiday, is still slow and demand is still weak. Meanwhile, with Icdas’s list prices moving down by TRY 51/mt + VAT as compared to its previous price list issued on July 20 and due to slack demand, traders in Iskenderun and Istanbul regions have revised their rebar prices downwards. Besides, the downtrend in global semi finished steel prices is expected to continue to exert downward pressure on finished steel prices in the coming period.
