Nucor-Yamato to boost WFB prices for June

SteelOrbis has learned that Nucor-Yamato Steel Company will be increasing its wide flange beam (WFB) transaction prices by $50 /nt ($2.50 cwt. or $55 /mt) for June shipments. 

Effective with shipments during the month of June, Nucor's raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $403 /nt ($20.15 cwt. or $444 /mt), an increase of $10 /nt ($0.50 cwt. or $11 /mt) from the company's May RMS. 

Additionally, the company is also increasing its base prices for wide flange beams by $40 /nt ($2.00 cwt. or $44 /mt), resulting in a $50 /nt ($2.50 cwt. or $55 /mt) increase in transaction prices for June shipments.
