Nucor reduces net rebar prices by cutting its RMS

Nucor Steel announced to customers on Friday, October 10, that, effective with shipments as of October 13, the company's raw materials surcharge (RMS) applicable to rebar will decrease to $83/nt ($91/mt or $4.15 cwt.) This represents a decline of $130/nt ($143.30/mt or $6.50 cwt.) compared to the surcharge that went into effect on September 10 last.

The net result of these changes is a decrease of $130/nt ($143.30/mt or $6.50 cwt.) for rebar transaction prices.
