Nucor announced late Tuesday that effective with shipments June 1, 2012, the Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to concrete reinforcing bars, merchant bars and structural products will be $268/nt ($13.40 cwt. or $295/mt), representing no change from the May 1, 2012 surcharge.
The net effect is that transaction prices for rebar, merchant bar and structural products will remain unchanged.
