Nucor announced late Thursday that effective with shipments February 10, 2012, the Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to merchant bars and structural products will be $278/nt ($13.90 cwt. or $306/mt), representing a $30/nt ($1.50 cwt. or $33/mt) decrease compared to the February 1, 2012 surcharge.
The net effect of this move is that transaction pricing for these products will decrease by $30/nt.
