Nucor announced late Monday a $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) base price increase on concrete reinforcing bar products, effective immediately.

According to Nucor, all confirmed orders as of the close of business on January 4 will be price protected, if shipped no later than January 31.

The increase does not include any raw material surcharges (RMS), which are expected to be added to February shipments once the monthly scrap numbers are released.
