Effective with shipments January 1, 2010, Nucor Bar Mill Group's Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to concrete reinforcing bars, merchant bars and structural products will be $243/nt ($12.15 cwt. or $268/mt), reflecting an increase of $45/nt ($2.25 cwt. or $50/mt) when compared to the surcharge announced November 9.
The net effect of this move is that transaction pricing for reinforcing bars, merchant bars and structural products will increase by $45/nt ($2.25 cwt. or $50/mt).
