In the past four  weeks, the domestic price of Mexican rebar fell US$15/mt to reach US$477/mt ex-mill.

Although the construction sector grew 0.1 percent during the last two months, the construction subindex rose 4.5 percent and the construction of civil engineering works increased by 2.2 percent. However, specialized construction work fell 21.1 percent.

For the last quarter of the year no major changes are expected in the demand for construction-related steel, sources tell SteelOrbis, and therefore prices are expected to remain somewhat level.
