Merchant bar offers to UAE

SteelOrbis has been informed that an offer for 120-140-160 mm IPE from a trading firm in China at the price level of €572/mt ($850/mt) CFR Dubai on a theoretical weight basis has been rejected by importers in the Middle East. It is reported that import IPE merchant bar prices have dropped to €550/mt ($817/mt).

On the other hand, Turkish producers are offering 80-100-120 mm IPE AA at €592-602/mt ($879-909/mt) FOB, with 80-100-120 mm IPE at €585-595/mt ($869-884/mt) FOB; both prices are for late March shipments, on theoretical weight basis. In addition, it is heard that flat bar offers at the price level of $825/mt and angle offers at $815/mt CFR Dubai from Turkey, both on theoretical weight basis, are finding buyers in the region.
