Effective with shipments during the month of February, Nucor's raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $235 /nt ($11.75 cwt. or $259 /mt), an increase of $82 /nt ($4.10 cwt. or $90 /mt) from January's RMS. The company will reduce its base prices for merchant bar products by $22 /nt ($1.10 cwt. or $24 /mt), resulting in a net increase of $60 /nt ($3.00 cwt. or $66 /mt) in transaction prices for February shipments.
