Prices in the local Turkish wire rod market have increased by $10/mt in the current week amid the rises seen in both semi-finished steel and import scrap quotations, though market players report that discounts are available in the market during actual transactions. On the other hand, demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has remained at low levels due to the ongoing political tension in the country following the attempted coup on July 15.
