Local Turkish official wire rod prices mostly increase

Turkish mills have mainly raised their official wire rod prices by $5-20/mt amid the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment and currency fluctuations. Kardemir’s 6-27 mm wire rod sales price stands at $585/mt ex-works today.

An Iskenderun-based mill issued its official wire rod price at TRY 15,500/mt ($573/mt) ex-works yesterday. One Marmara-based mill raised its wire rod price by $5/mt. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.06 for today's pricing in the Iskenderun region as no other exchange rate has been specified locally.
