SteelOrbis has been informed that local prices for medium size rebar in the Greek domestic market are currently at the level of €500-550/mt ($673-740/mt) delivered to customer, on actual weight basis with 90-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

The width of the price range of producers' and traders' offers in the local Greek rebar market is eye-catching. While price levels have been decreasing for large tonnage purchases, they have been increasing for small tonnages. It is heard that, in their bid to target end-users, Italian producers have been giving offers at lower levels compared to the abovementioned prices.

€1 = US$1.345/mt
