SteelOrbis has been informed that local prices for medium size rebar in the Greek domestic market are currently varying in a range of €780-800/mt ex-works, on actual weight basis with 90-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

The end-user demand in the Greek domestic market is still soft. The offering prices given by the local mills in the Greek domestic market are far higher than the ones offered in the Italian and Spanish domestic markets. Therefore, the abovementioned prices in the Greek domestic market are not being accepted by buyers. It is also heard that the Italian mills are offering rebar to the Greek traders at the level of €680/mt CFR Greece.
