SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that wire rod prices in the Libyan domestic market are in the range of LYD 835-840/mt ($662-667/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, wire rod offers from Turkey to Libya are at the level of $610/mt CFR.

Market players also state that Libyan buyers are only ordering small lots in line with their needs and therefore they prefer to purchase from the local market instead of buying ex-Turkey wire rod.
