According to market sources, Turkish producers’ domestic billet prices have decreased by $20/mt over the past week to $330-340/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT. Since Turkish producers are still concluding bookings of Chinese billet, demand for locally produced billet is weak. Chinese exporters have started to give billet offers to Turkey at below $300/mt CFR, with their billet offers now in the range of $295-300/mt CFR.
