According to market sources, rebar offers from Turkey’s Iskenderun region to the Iraqi market have increased by $10/mt since last week and now stand in the range of $590-595/mt ex-works.

Market sources state that 70,000 mt of Turkish rebar have been sold to Iraq in the last two weeks in the range of $580-585/mt ex-works, but demand has not been so lively since the upward revision of prices.

Steelmakers in Iskenderun are able to sell rebar in their local market in the range of $600-605/mt ex-works, and so they have started to focus on their local region and are not willing to lower their prices in the export markets.
