With its new price list dated June 12, 2009, Turkish steel producer Kardemir opened its domestic sales for 12-22 mm diameter rebar at the price level of TRY 822.46/mt ($454/mt + VAT) ex-works and including 18 percent VAT - up TRY 27.14/mt as compared to the last price announcement made on June 3 - for 1,000 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. The producer has closed its rebar sales as of today, June 15, 2009.
