Italian rebar producers have increased their domestic prices again, raising them by €30-40/mt ($34-45/mt) since our report last week. Their new price stands at €415/mt ($469/mt) ex-works, but at the moment there are no buyers interested in closing deals at this price level.

On the export side, Italian producers' most recent offers were at €400/mt ($452/mt) FOB, while at present they have no rebar to offer for export since their order books are full up to May.

Algerian buyers are inquiring for prices at €420/mt ($475/mt) FOB, but without receiving positive feedback from Italian producers, who think that, once they have new material available, they will be able to ask for a higher price.

In the meantime, it is heard that Spanish producers' offers for the Algerian market are standing at €460/mt ($520/mt) FOB.
