Iskenderun-based Turkish mill revises its longs prices

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, May 17, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 13,400/mt ($678/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, falling by TRY 300/mt ($19/mt) compared to Monday, May 15 against the ongoing currency fluctuations and the unclear financial situation in the country. Moreover, the mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 15,400/mt ($660/mt) ex-works today, falling by TRY 500/mt ($25/mt) over the same period. Most mills are offering their longs prices in the local currency in order to be on the safe side amid the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar.
