Iskenderun-based Turkish mill raises its longs prices

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, June 7, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 14,700/mt ($635/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, rising by TRY 700/mt in the local currency, while falling by $13/mt on US dollar basis, from the previous day, amid the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and the unclear financial situation in the country. Moreover, the mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 17,250/mt ($631/mt) ex-works today, rising by TRY 1,000/mt and falling by $7/mt on US dollar basis over the same period. VAT is taken as 18 percent. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 23.15 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
