Iskenderun-based Turkish mill issues its longs price as week begins

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, May 29, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 13,300/mt ($649/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, rising by TRY 300/mt, while falling by $5/mt compared to Wednesday, May 24, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and the unclear financial situation in the country. Moreover, the mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 15,300/mt ($632/mt) ex-works today, rising by TRY 250/mt over the same period, while falling by $9/mt on US dollar basis. VAT is taken as 18 percent. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 20.50 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
