Iskenderun-based Turkish mill increases its longs prices

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, August 14, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has revised its official mesh grade wire rod price to TRY 15,500/mt ($573/mt), ex-works, excluding VAT, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. The mill issued its rebar price at TRY 18,650/mt ($575/mt) this afternoon, rising by TRY 250/mt ($8/mt) compared to Friday, August 11 . The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.05 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. The producer’s wire rod and rebar prices have risen by TRY 200/mt ($7/mt) and TRY 250/mt ($8/mt), respectively.
