Iskenderun-based Turkish mill cuts its longs prices

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, July 27, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 15,500/mt ($575), ex-works, excluding VAT, against the backdrop of the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. The mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 18,000/mt ($556/mt) ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 26.96 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. The producer’s wire rod and rebar prices have fallen by TRY 160/mt and TRY 300/mt, while falling by $5/mt and $9/mt on US dollar basis, respectively, compared to Monday, July 24.
