SteelOrbis has been informed that the imported rebar price in the local UAE market currently stands at AED 1,850-1,900/mt ($504-517/mt) delivered to site, on theoretical weight basis, with three-to-four month deferred payment. Prices have this week remained unchanged in the UAE's domestic rebar market as compared to last week. While local traders in Dubai have been purchasing rebars from Turkey without buying very large tonnages, it is expected that rebar stock levels in the UAE's domestic market will bottom out through the end of March and that purchases will increase in the same period of time.
