According to market sources, the Greek long steel market has showed no improvement yet because all eyes are on the general elections to be held in the country on January 25. Market players do not expect any improvement before the general elections, while import rebar offers to the country are currently at €425/mt ($502/mt) CFR.

Meanwhile, angle offers from Italy to Greece are standing at €470/mt ($555/mt) CFR.

In the Greek long steel market, the demand situation and price trend will become clearer after the post-holiday lull concludes and when the confusion caused by the general elections come to an end.
