Free-cutting steel prices

Cold-drawn 9SMnPb28 grade free-cutting steel price in Istanbul region of Turkey is at the level of TL1'500'000-1'600'000/kg + VAT (€809-864/t+VAT), including 60 days deferred payment. Local free-cutting producers have effected 3-4% price increase. In Europe, prices are following an upward trend due to strong demand. Price increase for wire rod is expected to be around €50/ton and the increase is expected to be announced next week.
