SteelOrbis has heard that ex-Malaysia billet offers for export are standing in the range of $450-470/mt FOB, while ex-Thailand billet offers given to the export markets are at the level of $430/mt FOB - both on actual weight basis. The export billet offers from Malaysia and Thailand are at high levels as compared to the billet prices in their local markets, since high cost scrap material is still available in the stocks of mills in these countries.
