SteelOrbis has learned that ex-Turkey rebar offers to the UAE are currently at the price level of $500/mt CFR on theoretical weight basis for February shipment. Local traders in the UAE, whose stock levels are at minimum levels, have been purchasing rebars from Turkey at low tonnages. In recent weeks, ex-Turkey rebar deals concluded to this country were at $460-480/mt CFR; however, the Turkish mills in question are no longer offering at this price range, but instead are offering at $500/mt at present. It seems, though, that this price level may be negotiable for large tonnages.
