Ex-China rebar and wire rod offers decline sharply

SteelOrbis has learned that the prices of Chinese origin 18 mm HRB 335 boron-added rebar for export markets are currently at $530/mt FOB, including 13 percent export tax rebate, on actual weight basis, for payments via letter of credit and for mid-September shipment. The offers have indicated a decline of $30/mt since last week.
 
Meanwhile, the prices of Chinese origin 6.5 mm low carbon boron-added wire rod for Southeast Asia have decreased by $35/mt since last week and are currently at $545/mt CFR, including 17 percent VAT, on actual weight basis, for payments via letter of credit and for mid-September shipment.
