Downtrend in ex-CIS billet offers

According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers have decreased by $5/mt over the past week to $360-365/mt FOB. It is heard that CIS-based billet traders are accepting buyers' firms bids at $355/mt FOB, but no ex-CIS billet deals have been heard in Turkey yet. Meanwhile, Chinese billet offers to Turkey have decreased by another $15/mt week on week to $330-335/mt CFR. Market players are wondering that whether CIS-based traders, who are having difficulties competing with low-priced Chinese billet offers, will reduce their prices further in the near future.
