Market sources state that domestic billet prices in Iran have increased by $60/mt since August 7 and are currently at $560-585/mt ex-works. Although buyers are approaching this sharp price increase with caution, the global billet market and the appreciation of the US dollar against the Iranian rial have supported the upward movement of domestic billet quotations in Iran.
