Market sources state that domestic billet prices in Iran have decreased by an average of $85/mt since August 28 and are currently at $480-495/mt ex-works. Market sources believe that the sharp decline in domestic billet prices in Iran is the result of the wait-and-see approach maintained by buyers as they have considered the previous increases unrealistic.
