Demand still weak in local Turkish rebar market

SteelOrbis has been informed that the local Turkish rebar market has made a quiet start to the current week, with trading activity remaining at low levels. Against the backdrop of the weakness of demand in the local Turkish rebar market, the declines recorded in import scrap prices and the lack of any significant depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have moved down by TRY 20-40/mt compared to the price levels recorded on January 19.
