Domestic rebar prices in the local Turkish market have increased by TRY 30-50/mt compared to price levels recorded on March 6 amid the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and due to the rises recorded in import scrap prices.
It is reported that buyers have stepped up their rebar purchases in expectation of a further increase in domestic rebar prices. As a result, demand has revived slightly since the beginning of the current week and has supported the upward movement of prices.
