Demand for southern European rebar exports at medium levels

Demand for Italian and Spanish rebar exports has been at medium levels this week, while rebar export prices from these countries are currently in the range of €420-430/mt ($475-486/mt) FOB.  Market sources state that Italian and Spanish rebar producers have mostly filled their order books for May.
 
Meanwhile, market sources report that the latest ex-southern Europe rebar deal in Algeria - the most important market for Italian and Spanish rebar exports - was concluded by Spanish sellers last week at €420-425/mt ($475-480/mt) CIF.
