Demand for Italian and Spanish
rebar exports has been at medium levels this week, while
rebar export prices from these countries are currently in the range of €420-430/mt ($475-486/mt) FOB. Market sources state that Italian and Spanish
rebar producers have mostly filled their order books for May.
Meanwhile, market sources report that the latest ex-southern Europe
rebar deal in Algeria - the most important market for Italian and Spanish
rebar exports - was concluded by Spanish sellers last week at €420-425/mt ($475-480/mt) CIF.
