Demand for southern European rebar exports at low levels

During the past two weeks, although demand for southern European rebar exports has declined to low levels, rebar export prices from the region have continued their upward movement, increasing by €35/mt ($40/mt) to the range of €450-470/mt ($513-536/mt) FOB.

Buyers are expecting southern European rebar export prices to fall in the coming period due to the declines seen in global billet quotations, and so they are only concluding deals in line with their needs, resulting in low demand levels.
