According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers have decreased by $10/mt over the past week to $350-355/mt FOB. Market players state that it is still difficult for CIS-based exporters to find buyers at this price level and Turkish buyers are only accepting a maximum price level of $335/mt FOB. Turkish buyers are not so interested in buying billet from the CIS due to their purchases of low-priced Chinese billet and the further decreases in ex-China billet offers. This week, Chinese billet offers to Turkey have decreased by another $5/mt week on week to $325-330/mt CFR.
