CIS billet market activity expected to be slow in early May

SteelOrbis has been informed that ex-CIS billet offers are still at $495-505/mt FOB, indicating no changes since last week. Some ex-CIS billet deals have been concluded in the Middle East at $500/mt FOB, while the most recent CIS billet booking in Turkey has been concluded at $518/mt CFR Izmir.
 
No improvement is expected in CIS billet market activity in the early part of next month due to holidays including Labor Day and Victory Day.
