The local Turkish rebar market still remains sluggish and demand continues to be weak. Following the referendum held on April 16, buyers in the local Turkish rebar market have preferred to adopt a wait-and-see stance and they are not in a rush to conclude purchases. Additionally, with the Turkish lira gaining strength against the US dollar today, Turkish rebar producers have reduced their prices, while local traders’ rebar prices have declined by TRY 10-20/mt compared to April 13.
