The domestic billet market in Vietnam has slowed down due to the sluggish rebar market in this country. It is reported that there have been export bids at the price level of $950/mt FOB; however, the Vietnamese billet producers prefer to sell in the domestic market as they think they will see better price levels there in the coming one to two months. In addition, market players are of the view that the government is supporting the domestic market, as opposed to export or re-export activities.
