The Turkish producers are offering billets to their own local market at $1,130-1,160/mt ex-works, excluding VAT. The producers in the Turkish domestic market have been keeping their prices at high levels due to the strong export rebar price levels.

On the other hand, there have been some billet offers from the CIS at price levels of above $1,110/mt CFR Turkey. Additionally, it is reported that a deal from India on container basis was concluded in the past week at the price level of $1,050/mt CFR. It is heard that there also have been billet offers from this country to Turkey at price levels of close to $1,100/mt CFR for July shipment.
