Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel sales prices for October shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with September prices):
1. Wire rod
Prices of wire rod have remained unchanged.
2. Hot rolled coil (HRC)
Prices of HRC have remained unchanged. As a result, 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC is still priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($392/mt), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC is priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($392/mt), and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC costs RMB 2,470/mt ($388/mt).
3. Cold rolled plates
Prices of cold rolled plate products have remained unchanged. As a result, 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 3,430/mt ($538/mt) and 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 3,430/mt ($538/mt).
4. Rolled plates
Prices of rolled plate products have remained unchanged. Currently, 14-40 mm Q235 medium plates are priced at RMB 2,640/mt ($414/mt), while 14-40 mm Q345 low alloy plates are still priced at RMB 2,750/mt ($432/mt).
5. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
Prices of PPGI have remained unchanged. Currently, 1.0 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI coil is priced at RMB 5,230/mt ($821/mt).
6. Pickling
Prices of pickling products have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt).
7. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
Prices of DX54 HDG and deep-draw high-strength steel products have decreased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt) while prices of other products have remained unchanged. Currently, 1.0 mm DX51D+Z HDG plate is priced at RMB 4,260/mt ($669/mt) and 1.0 mm DX51D+Z coil is priced at RMB 4,170/mt ($655/mt).
8. Electro-galvanized (EG) products
Basic prices of common quality (CQ) EG products and drawing quality (DQ) steel have decreased by RMB 150/mt ($24/mt) while prices of other products have decreased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). Currently, 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG plate is priced at RMB 4,480/mt ($703/mt) and 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG coil is priced at RMB 4,390/mt ($689/mt).
9. Prices of channels, non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel and grain-oriented silicon steel have remained unchanged. As a result, 0.5 mm 50WW470 high-grade NGO silicon steel is priced at RMB 5,250/mt ($824/mt) and 0.5 mm 50WW600 low-grade NGO silicon steel is priced at RMB 4,680/mt (735/mt).
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effective immediately.
