On April 7, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO) released its ex-factory prices of certain flat products for May, making no change from April levels. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
The price of 2.75 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 3,450/mt ($505/mt), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 HRC is at RMB 3,340/mt ($489/mt).
2. CR coils
The price of 1.0 mm Q195 CR sheet is at RMB 3,960/mt ($580/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled coil is now at RMB 3,910/mt ($572/mt).
3. Galvanized coils
The price of 1.0 mm DX51D+Z is RMB 4,293/mt ($629/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of April 7, 2009.
