Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel sales prices for December shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with November prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC)
Prices of HRC have increased by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt). As a result, 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC is priced at RMB 3,360/mt ($547/mt), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC is priced at RMB 3,380/mt ($550/mt) and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC costs RMB 3,340/mt ($544/mt).
2. Cold rolled coil (CRC)
a) Prices of cold rolled dual phase steel have remained unchanged, while prices of other high-strength cold rolled products have decreased by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt).
b) Prices of other CRC products have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt).
Accordingly, prices of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled coil are at RMB 3,870/mt ($630/mt), while prices of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled coil are at RMB 3,840/mt ($625/mt).
3. Hot dip galvanized (HDG) products
Prices of DX51, DX52 and DX53 series have remained unchanged, while prices of other HDG products have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt).
4. Grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel
Prices of grain-oriented silicon steel have increased by RMB 1,000/mt ($162/mt).
5. Prices of steel sections, wire rod, rolled plates, pickled products, electro-galvanized products, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) and non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel have remained unchanged.
As a result, 14-40 mm Q235 medium plates are still priced at RMB 3,520/mt ($573/mt), while prices of 14-40 mm Q345 medium plates are unchanged at RMB 3,630/mt ($591/mt).
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effective immediately.
