The most commonly heard pricing or US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) and Galvalume coil may be stable week-over-week, but trader sources say that prices are trending toward the higher part of the current range, and it’s believed that the forecasted uptrend in Chinese hot rolled coil costs will continue to push US import HDG prices upward.
Offshore mills continue to evaluate their input costs on a daily basis, trader sources said, adding that upward price revisions are expected.
Current pricing for imported 0.012”x40.875” G30 hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil, imported 0.019x41.5625 Gr80/AZ55 Galvalume coil in the US domestic market, and imported 0.012”x40.875” G30 hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil in the US domestic market are listed in the chart below:
