During the given week, inventory levels of steel plate in the domestic market have decreased slightly compared to the previous week, while more supplies are expected to arrive in the near future, negatively impacting sentiment among market participants. Although some steelmakers including Shaogang, Liuzhou Iron and Steel and Tangsteel have reduced their capacity utilization rates, the declining semi-finished steel prices in Tangshan have contributed to decreases in steel plate prices. It is expected that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will move on a slight downtrend in the coming week as there is limited space for further downward movement, while demand also remains sluggish.
