Prices on US import Galvalume haven’t changed since our last report a week ago, but sources close to SteelOrbis have said that Korean mills have expressed interest in offering 0.019x41.5625 Gr80/AZ55 Galvalume to the US at a price that is approximately $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) below current Brazilian offers.

Trader sources continue to report that they are talking to a number of new potential offshore coated steel providers; at the same time, there is still plenty of coated steel products that are on the ground at US Gulf coast ports and on the water.  Interest in new bookings seems to be trending light, but interest in seeing what prices are out there is trending heavy.
